About me
Jamie Beard is the founder and executive director of Project InnerSpace, a non-profit working for the global growth and development of geothermal energy. An energy and regulatory attorney by training but a creative at heart, Beard is principal investigator of a U.S. Department of Energy grant focused on applying oil and gas technologies to geothermal energy, and delivered keynotes at SXSW and Aspen about the oil and gas industry’s role in building the future of geothermal energy. A self proclaimed geothermal instigator, Beard delivered a viral TED talk on the same topic in 2021, and was featured on the cover of Wired Magazine in 2023 for her work in geothermal innovation and entrepreneurship.
